27TH-31ST OCTOBER 2016 PORTLAOISE

ABOUT HALLOWE'EN HOWLS

It’s the BIG 10 for The Hallowe’en Howls Comedy Festival this year! And we’ve got one hell of a line up for ya!!

Stars of the Big Screen, Televison and Radio bring their Comedy Razzmatazz to Portlaoise for what is one of the best line ups we’ve ever had, to grace the little venue upstairs in Kavanaghs!

It’s looking like it’s going to be one heck of a weekend with one of the Countrys favourite Comedy Venues about to be overrun with Irish and International Comedy Gold!

We’ve got the biggest new name in Irish Comedy, the one and only Al Porter kicking off the festival on Thursday night, followed by Ch4 regular and Irish Comedy Legend David O’Doherty! Later Friday night Neil Delamere is popping in as Guest MC for one of the festival favourites – Mr Andrew Maxwell and his brand new show, fresh from the Edinburgh Festival – ‘Yo Contraire’.

Then we’re onto Saturday! The early show on Saturday sees Colin Murphy headline with able support from the man behind ‘Irish Mammies’, the wonderful Colm O’Regan! We’ve got a Saturday night special with ‘the Man with 10,000 Voices’, the superstar from the comedy classic ‘Police Academy’, the one and only Michael Winslow takes to the stage for what should be one of the shows of the year!

And on Bank Holiday Sunday, our own Comedy Legend, Bernard O’Shea comes in as Guest MC for the early show with a double headliner featuring Gearoid Farrelly and Comedy Writer, Comedian and Actor Kevin Gildea! Finally on Sunday night, Tom Stade – star of BBC’s Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyres Comedy Roadshow and The John Bishop Show returns to Kavanaghs Comedy Club!

Plus we’ve got a full line up of Music in the Courtyard in Kavanaghs all weekend. Bank Holiday Monday we’re wrapping up with a party of all parties in the Courtyard with Transmitter closing out the weekends festivities with a fancy dress Hallowe’en Spectacular from 7pm!

Let’s get ready to Howl!!!!!!!!!
